Group Benefits Representative - Garden City, NY (Hybrid)

Employee Benefits Account Executive  - no sales–

Location Melville, NY (Hybrid Remote days and hours are flexible)

Salary Range $70-99,000 + Excellent Benefits

Due to expansion and recent promotions our client, a well-known and respected Property, Casualty and Benefits Broker requires a Benefit Representative capable of providing clients with excellent employee benefit expertise, account administration and management.  This is not a sales position. 

Duties

  • Coordinate the implementation of new and existing plans
  • Provide all-day-to-day client services
  • Manage Renewal and Marketing processes
  • Preparation of client Open Enrollment materials and Employee Benefits Guides
  • Attend Open Enrollment meetings
  • Prepare RFP and send to the carriers
  • Prepare client presentations and client executive summaries
  • Review benefit plan summaries and carrier source documents for accuracy
  • Develop effective relationships with client and carrier contacts
  • Prepare and analyze client benchmarking report
  • Research compliance issues and questions
  • Perform follow up with clients and team members on action plans

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience providing employee benefits and ancillary products
  • Knowledge of benefits administration, HealthCare Reform, carrier products and services
  • Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications
  • Effective time management and decision-making skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Education 2-year College
  • Employees are required to obtain NYS Life, Accident, and Health License within 6 months of employment
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
