Fred Gorman

 

Fred Gorman After graduating from St. John’s High School, Fred began working for Tick & Company, Inc. a downtown insurance brokerage firm. He attended evening college at Pace University. While at Tick & Company his understanding of the brokerage business and people skills exceeded his years of experience and salary. Despite Fred’s success, his youth made it difficult for him to obtain the salary he desired. A recruiter suggested that if he became an insurance recruiter, he could earn the income he warranted. Fred took his advice, joined Michael Craig Personnel and became their top producer within his first year of employment. Three years later, he founded Gorman Personnel Consultants, Inc., a Human Resources Company dedicated to the placement of insurance professionals. Over the next thirty plus years Fred developed numerous professional friendships based on loyalty, integrity, and effectiveness. His unique understanding of the brokerage business and the people who work within it, has led to unmatched success in the recruiting of brokerage executives and acquisition of businesses.

 

In 1978 Fred founded Gorman Personnel Consultants, Inc.

Mergers and Acquisitions: (1982 to Present) Sell/merge insurance brokers.

Accomplishments: Transferred ownership of over $36 million of annual gross income.

 

EXECUTIVE RECRUITING (1982 to 1994)

Accomplishments: Placed approximately 200 producers that generated over $125 million of revenue for their new employers within the first year of employment. Placed sixteen of the fifty highest paid professionals within the insurance brokerage community, forty-five people who became partners, and the third highest paid insurance brokerage President.

 

NETWORK RECRUITING Long Island 1994 to Present. Developed and maintain a Long Island database of 15,000 insurance brokerage professionals, 35 exclusive clients and a network of over 400 Long Island Insurance brokers.

Accomplishments: Working with Terry Sanders, place over 100 insurance brokerage professionals annually.
