Insurance Claim and Certificate Manager - New York, NY
Insurance Claim and Certificate Manager
Salary: $140,000 -160,000
Location New York, NY
Our client, a large and well-known NYC real estate management company with over 20,000 comercial, mixed use and residential rental properties seeks an associate claim risk Manager with insurance, claims and compliance experience. This is a mid-level position with rapid advancement
Responsibilities
- Considerable Tenant and vendor and carrier contact
- Negotiating, expediting and managing claims
- Computerized claim administration
- Professionally managing strong personalities during emotional times
- Manage subcontractor’s insurance vetting
- Performing contract reviews and remediation with a specific focus on insurance and indemnity
- Review and analyze vendor and subcontractor insurance policies for compliance
- Review and analyze tenant insurance policies for compliance
- Identify noncompliant insurance and determining the need to obtain insurance waivers
- Developing risk reduction approaches and participate in claims reviews
- Manage the certificates process
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ real estate, carrier, brokerage or risk consulting experience
- Workingknowledge of New York labor Law
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- High-level organization and process consistency
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe)
- Focused independent worker with time management skills
- Conflict resolution skills
