Larger Line Account Executive - Melville, NY (Hybrid)

Account Executive

Location: Melville, NY 

Salery  $100,000 -$135,000

Our client, a well-established insurance brokerage with a 150-year history and a strong reputation for excellence, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Executive. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse book of larger middle-market accounts, supported by an Associate Account Manager who will handle day-to-day administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing exceptional service and risk management expertise.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through in-person meetings and ongoing communication.
  • Retain and grow the book of business by leveraging strong marketing, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Work closely with underwriters to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
  • Oversee the preparation of applications, proposals, and detailed Excel spreadsheets.
  • Act as a mentor to team members, providing guidance when needed.

Qualifications:

  • NYS Property & Casualty license (required).
  • Strong underwriting, coverage knowledge, and technical expertise.
  • Experience with both admitted and non-admitted carriers, including rating systems and carrier portals.
  • Proven ability to quote, bind, and issue policies via carrier systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt to client needs, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset and high professional standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Epic is a plus.
