Associate Director of Loss Control

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 + Benifits and Bonus

Work Week:  Hybrid

Location: Woodbury

Our client, a well known and respected independent brokerage requires am Associate Director of Loss Control to Liaise with clients and carriers regarding loss control matters

Responsibilities:

• Exercise independent judgment and discretion
• Conduct property and facility evaluations, and design/implement risk mitigation programs
• Consult with clients to understand needs and objectives.
• Develop custom solutions and advise clients on best practices in risk control strategies.
• Implement programs using general accepted project management and consulting practices.
• Conduct management and employee training sessions for clients as needed.
• Perform audits/assessments at client sites as needed.
• Provide oversight of insurance carrier activities on client’s behalf.
• Accompany carrier risk control representatives on underwriting surveys.
• Visit construction jobsites to help correct unsafe work practices. 

Requirements

• Prefer Brokers License,  Bachelor’s Degree,  Professional credentials such as ARM, ASP, or CSP
• Familiarity and certification of the NYS Code Rule 59 / 60 regulations.
• 7+ years in Risk Control experience
• Use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.
• Strong interpersonal, decision-making, strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with carrier websites, conduct research, research, access safety libraries.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
