Account Executive

Location: Sayville, NY

Salery  -$100,000 -$135,000

Our Client, a 70 person 150 year old Brokerage of superior reputation. Due to retirement seeks a Commercial Lines Account Executive to manage a book of diversified middle market accounts with the aid of an Associate Account Manager  to do the day to day direct supports. 

Responsibilities   

• Manage your assigned clients as the main contact for customer issues
• visit clients face/face
• Help retain and grow the book by providing risk expertise, excellent service, superior marketing, relationship management and conflict resolution skills
• Mentor your team members when necessary

Qualifications

• Current NYS Property and Casualty license
• High degree of underwriting, coverage knowledge and technical expertise.
• Experience working with admitted and non-admitted carriers and rating systems
• Ability to negotiate with underwriters and navigate carrier websites
• Prior experience quoting binding and issuing policies via carrier portals
• Ability to prepare applications, proposals and detailed excel spreadsheets. 
• Excellent communication, organizational, Conflict Resolution and analytical skills
• Team player with track record of working cooperatively to achieve objectives
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be flexible to changing client needs
• Self-motivated with a high degree of professionalism
• Knowledge of Epic is a plus navigating carrier websites is a must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
