Insurance Risk Administrator – Real Estate   

Salary $65-80,000

Location: Rockville Centre, NY

Our client,  A Real Estate Property Manager, that offers a professional and pleasant work environment seeks an administrator to manage property, casualty, cyber, and various other renewal programs by evaluating ongoing business needs within current business structures to determine additional coverage or modification of current coverage to better protect assets while simultaneously working with brokers and consultants to ensure competitive premium savings upon renewal.  NY 

Responsibilities

• Oversee the placement of Owner’s Interest Liability and Builder’s Risk policies for new construction.
• Evaluate policies of prospective general contractors to ensure proper coverage and exclusions do not impact scope of work.
• Make recommendations as to which contractors are approved or are not recommended to perform work. 
• Provide risk management insight on vendor and lender agreements in accordance with insurance and indemnity clauses within contracts to ensure proper risk transfer
• Negotiate insurance provisions to ensure requests are reasonable and within risk tolerance.
• Conduct annual insurance review to assess current market conditions, its effect on current pricing levels, upcoming renewals and obstacles if any to Partners and CFO.
• Support accounting and budgeting activities associated with insurance premiums and other departmental costs.
• Manage all incident reports and insurance claims and associated legal matters to maximize property insurance recoveries and minimize liability losses.
• Respond to questions from brokers, claims representatives, and property managers regarding claims or lawsuits.
