Claim Representative

LOCATION: Lake Success (Hybrid)

SALARY $70-90,000

Our Client a 75+ person Long Island Brokerage known for professional excellence requires a claim risk management associate to help manage complex workers  compensation, contractors and High-net-worth claims

Responsibilitiesrage and advise client and account manager of your findings

• Acknowledge receipt of claim and request all documents necessary to advocate on client’s behalf
• Interoperate and debate coverage issues with carriers, lawyers, adjusters, etc.
• Prepare renewal claim reviews  
• Keep claims file properly up-dated
• Maintaining an active diary and follow-up correspondence to the client and carrier
• Attend client meetings, on-site loss inspections and board meetings when necessary
• Coordinate and mediate at meetings on problem claims
• Field client questions or concerns and act as mediator with the insurance carrier when necessary
• Provide information/documentation to adjusters and other company personnel as requested
• Provide insured with interim status and final settlement information
• Review lawsuits submitted by clients prior to filing with carriers
• Handle Account Executive inquiries and provide loss information when necessary

Qualifications

• 5+ yrs. Commercial claim experience some brokerage and construction experience  preferred
• Experience with labor laws and workers compensation
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills
• Applied EPIC Agency management system knowledge preferred
• Proficient computer skills, in particular Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment
• Possess excellent client advocacy and negotiation skills
• Self-starter, professional and assertive
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
