Professional Experience

Responsible for providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting of new business on existing personal and commercial line insurance. The book consists of Contractors, Builders, Real- estate, distributors, commercial auto, large equipment, retailers, restaurants, Artisans, professionals, general business, mom & pop shops. The accounts range from $2,000 to $2,000,000 in premium. The 10 largest accounts are all contractors and pay over $100,000 in Premium. Review, manage and grow assigned book of clients.


  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure all service needs are met
  • Analyze prospect's risk characteristics to recommend amount and types of insurance coverage
  • Conducts marketing, negotiates rates, reviews quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy with over 15 carriers, numerous wholesalers and specialty markets including but not limited to Chubb, AIG, Travelers, Hartford, Merchants, Mercury, AmWest, Great American, Acceptance, Progressive, Safco
  • Prepare and present sales proposals to upper management while negotiating purchase agreement
  • Coordinate transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants
  • Identify additional revenue growth opportunities on assigned book of business including, but not limited to, increasing coverage, account rounding, and generating new business referrals
  • Conduct proactive annual account reviews. Review and analyze personal accounts for coverage, limits, etc. and make appropriate recommendations to clients
  • Assist Clients and Staff with service questions related to billing, administration, claims, and problem solving
  • Interact with clients to receive claim reports and interact with carriers to expedite the claim
  • Proficient with Agency Management system, specifically to update policies that are written or renewed, log activities to document client meetings, carrier followup service issues, and establish a follow up date
